Imagine all the years this guy’s had to endure of being hailed as the ‘Second Coming Of Bill Hicks’ or a “Bill Hicks Ripoff”. Stanhope’s been doing standup longer than Hicks had and whenever someone’s swamped by accolades of references to the same comic, it can make you lose your sense of identity.
Plus, he was drunk as shit when he said that.
Also, stop relating everything political/philosophical/dirty to Hicks. It does a shame to Bruce, Pryor, and Carlin.
