August 18, 2010I hear this excuse all the time. How to Eat Healthy on a Budget 1. Eliminate bad foods (ie red meats, pork, chicken) 2. Shop with the Sale 3. Shop in bulk 4. Use Coupons 5. Check the clearance section Extra tip: Consider including periods of fasting/detoxing in your diet.

i think in the long run it cheaper to eat healthy.you can spend $40 and feed your fam for a week
because when youre hungry and need something asap the healthier alternative will be more because of timing and a person may be more inclined to buy the cheaper (fatter) food for its convenience pricing.
i do think healthy food is expensive BUT you have to know when to buy what and how to buy it. sometimes frozen is cheaper than fresh. or buying certain fruits in season will more than likely have more deals than when they arent. and also alot of major grocery stores (some smaller ones too) let you buy more than one item of something at a discounted price certain weeks. i think its also important to be ahead of yourself.
